Think before you start

I know you just want to get started. But take some time to plan this.

  1. First things first, are you sure about this? Don't waste money if you don't really want to do this! Its easy to rush into this but it will cost you a lot of money and it is time consuming.
  2. Now that you are sure, think about what your going to use your computer for. I built mines for Gaming, so i needed a good graphics card etc. Your computer might turn out to be very powerful but you might never use all that power. Only buy parts that you need!
  3. Could buying a pc be a better option for me - this sometimes the case, so do some research in to computers on the high street.
  4. How much are you willing to spend, typical you will spend £500 - £700.
Now with the basic planning done, we can make a shopping list!

Introduction

Hi, im Jonathan Buchan. Ive recently built my own Computer from scratch. (this is the part when most people decide they want to stop reading). I realise that this is not for everyone and this blog will only help computer enthusiasts but i now you are out there, so this blog is for the benefit of the people who are interested.

So first i will start off with why. The first reason is that i have an interest in technology. Thats all you really need. But if u need another reason is that its a great deal cheaper than buying a computer. So if you want to build your own pc then i might b able to help you.
